Allan Padgitt and the ownership team opened RMP Auto after successfully running another automotive location. They saw an opportunity to bring the same standard of workmanship to a new area. They took over a Scenic Drive facility that had operated for more than 20 years as a hot rod and specialty vehicle shop. The team redirected it toward everyday drivers who needed their gasoline-powered vehicles serviced correctly and the work explained plainly.



The observable proof of the mission is simple. We provide a detailed estimate for every recommendation upfront. We only start the work after explaining what we’ll do and why. That is what "communication-first" actually looks like on the shop floor.

RMP Auto is one of the few woman-operated general repair facilities in Pasco County, and that leadership shapes how the team talks to customers about their vehicles.

The Full Story Behind RMP Auto 

Before RMP Auto existed, the ownership team was already running an automotive operation elsewhere, learning what customers actually wanted from a repair shop. What they kept hearing came down to the same three things: clear explanations, honest recommendations, and a straightforward path to a good decision about the car.


When the opportunity came up in Port Richey, the team saw a building with real history behind it. The facility at 10134 Scenic Drive spent more than two decades as a hot rod and specialty vehicle shop. As a result, its bays, lifts, and infrastructure were already built for serious work.


The community around it, however, needed something different. Pasco County drivers largely need reliable service on daily-driven gasoline vehicles, not custom builds. So the team purchased the shop and redirected its focus toward the cars people actually depend on to get to work, school, and the coast. The 20-plus-year legacy of the building stayed intact, but the service model was rebuilt around everyday drivers.

Today, RMP Auto continues that redirection under Allan Padgitt's ownership. The shop provides clear pricing and a detailed estimate before starting any work. If the team finds something unexpected during a repair, they contact the customer before doing any additional work.

The Team Behind the Work 

The RMP Auto team is led by Allan Padgitt and operates as one of the few woman-operated general repair shops in the Port Richey area. That leadership guides how the team communicates with customers, from the first phone call to the final invoice review.


The technicians handle gasoline-powered vehicles across most domestic and import platforms, including Ford, Chevrolet, Toyota, and Honda. The shop treats the service advisor role as a communication position, not a sales job. Service advisors explain the work clearly, so customers understand what the team did instead of leaving with confusing receipts.

The team visually inspects and diagnoses every vehicle before recommending repairs. They only add items to the estimate when they can show the customer what they found.

Detailed Upfront Estimate 

The customer receives a detailed written estimate covering parts, labor, and scope before any work begins. The number on the estimate is the number the customer approves, and any change requires a second approval.


Step 3

Repair and Verification

The technician completes the repair using quality parts appropriate for the vehicle, then verifies the fix with a road test or follow-up scan. Before returning the vehicle, the team confirms that they’ve resolved the customer’s original concern.

Step 4

Delivery and Explanation 

At pickup, the team explains what they did and anything the customer should keep an eye on. They also add the service details to the vehicle’s history for the next visit.
